Hi,
wonderful domain. self-explanatory name. value? all depends on the annual renewal fee as .tv domains are unique like that. how much a year is it to renew? for me that says whether it is worth $x,xxx or $xx,xxx
This is a valuable domain either way

Regfees are usually between $29-35 depending on where you renew it at. I also agree, great name! Possible XX,XXX to an end user. Try PBS or a network of the like.

Good luck.

Regfees are not the problem.
Renewals are... .tv renewal fees are determined by the registrar based on what they feel the value of the domain is

Great name that is not a bad match to the extension, but really the renewal fee will make a big diffrence in determining value

A premium name and absolutely zero chance of this being a $29-35 reg /renewal fee which will be a major factor if purchased for resale.

Development on the other hand is another factor and I believe the buyer has a plan in mind. Every chance of becoming a valuable asset given the right circumstances.

Good luck

Does the strength of the keyword matter when it comes to annual renewal fees for .tv's?

That's highway robbery!!!

The dynamics of .TV are so much different.....I keep preaching this - and I will explain myself to you as well Copper....

The highway robbery theme or greedy Landlord comment is what is so often cojured up when tallking about xxx renewal fees or more.

Let us just say that I want to buy a site Education.Com. I am gonna throw a figure out there of 10 million, but lets say even 2 million - would that be a fair guestimate??

What are the interest payments per month on two millionn dollars - assuming I don't have that in cash?? $10,000?? $5000?? Eve goinng with a ridiculously low figure of $5000 pcm - thats $60,000 per year every year until the website earns enough to start making the interest payments - never mind the debt itself............

ow lets take Education.TV - lets assume the yearly reg fee is $12,000 pcm......its not, but lets just say it is, that means whomever bought this super prime bit of real estate now needs to make a profit of $1000pcm and the rest is all profit - year in year out - no suffocating interest payments - no huge amount of debt to pay off - I now which business model I would go for - hence the reason I chose EDUCATION.TV.......

The renewal fee is what you have paid for the registration, the fee does not change as long as you own the name, regular or premium names.

For a limited time the .TV Corp is currently offering 70% discount for premium registrations + a 50% discount off the initial listed price at renewal.

Blue, they in no way can NOT change terms at end of registration period and ask for a diffrent amount to renew?
a link is appriciated

I own more than 100 .tv names, regular and premiums, since 2002, I haven't got any problem in renewing my names : NO change at the end of the registration period.

I have been offered very recently, -not only me but all .tv owners-successively 25%, 50% and 70% discount offers on premium renewals in addition to the current discounts offered on registrations.

Feel free to inquire/check at .TV Corp.
Cheers.

SweeSpot, Education.tv is just amazing. Congrats on this new registration !

Thank you Blue.....

You know - its not so much the name that I hope works out for me.....the name is huge - 1 million OVT and business oppurtunities leaking out of every syllable - it is the timing - have I got that right.....?? This name was out of my reach - well out of my reach at its official 100% reg fee.

When it was dropped by 70%, it hovered enticingly above my head - still expensive - certainly the most I have ever paid for a domain name - and this is yearly.....but reachable if I jump....

I am hoping that I got it at just the right time - Hopefully .TV will really take off in the next couple of years - BUDWEISER is launching BUD.TV in February next year with 7 branded video content websites - other big companies are sure to follow suit....and also, had the reg fee come down some more - I would be looking at Education.TV in someone elses portfolio - guaranteed.....so my fingers are crossed that this will turn out to have been the right moment to pounce.....

First of all, your domain rocks!!!

Secondly, I gotta know, how much is your renewal fee?

(I own a couple of premium .tv's as well)

Sincerely,

Craig
