Be fair.
It is definetly worth quite a bit, though hard to put a price tag.

Hard to put a price tag? DrWho didn't have any problem putting a hundred prices tags on it :)

From his signature it'd seem chinewang is not really sure himself if the domain is worth much!

really? I bet if he offered to you for $50 you would quickly change your mind.

Maybe $100 to $200. The .biz hurts the value greatly IMHO.

I just wish for once there was a rhyme or reason to some of the valuations on this board. My apologies for singling this thread out, but if this is going to be a industry board the valuations have to get better. I am beginning to think most of you are still evaluating names based on your "gut" feeling.

Given that Electronic Commerce = .biz, I think actually the "biz" helps this name. I do think the name is a bit long though. To me, that is what "hurts" (ouch) the name.

try again,

Perfect example of what I was referring to above.

P.S you did get the "long" and the "old school" bit right, however the .biz is not what hurts the name.

I will say this: Plural names hurt dot biz . Like Cars.biz. A better package would be "Car.biz" (as an example).

Long biz names, or family names aren't good either.

I recommend that if you do go for a dot biz name, have it either be the name of your business, or a generic short name. The .biz name will increase in value. That is my professional opinion, and you can take that to the bank. .Biz is going to increase in value based on it being the only gTLD in the world that is FOR businesses that want to stay above the "riff-raff". Also, given the fact ICANN is not going to release any other "open" gTLDs anytime soon those with short generic biz's are sitting pretty good from where I am standing.

Ah, well, I am probably wasting the e-ink trying to explain all this, so..blah, blah......blah.

it does izo..

you cant resell the names

not name only

that effects the value - say what you want - but at the end of the day, it lessens the value

Its less exposure and advertisemet

How do you know?

and besides, the purpose of a business is for people to find them. If ordinary folks don't even know about the existence of .biz TLD ( a lot of people don't even know .net or .org or .us), how is it going to benefit the business?
