I'm not good with appraisals but good with ideas.

funnybelly.com could be developed as a humor site to increase value. By itself it doesn't have any.

The rest, sorry to say, seem like gibberish to me.

thanks, ive posted domains i thought were quite good here before and got similar responses. am i just thinking completely wrong?

i thought funnybelly.com maybe for t-shirt designs - though i prefer the idea of a humour site. bearbeat.com for a record company or other music related. phlax.com i thought was very memorable and it had the feel of pharmaceuticals or financial markets to me. diddlypop.com i thought was about the silliest name i could think of so thought it might score points for being ultra-silly. and plow2plate.com i thought would be a good domain for something related to farmers markets or locally produced or organic foods

am i completely wide of the mark?

Diddlypop.com is kind of a cool domain, you could get lucky with that one and intersect with some cartoon or product/toy name eventually...the rest suck delete them, take antibiotics to clear up the infection, start over

Go here and enter keywords, see the counts of what people are searching for already.
http://www.keyworddiscovery.com/search.html

There is no need to invent words or terms yourself as your only domain strategy, though doing some of that is ok. Most domainers started out that way (including me), trying to make up names themselves that they thought would be good for this or that business.

The trick is that there are sites like keyword discovery or wordtracker that will show you the terms people already are searching for, and how popular they are. Those are the word combos you want to reg, because they are proven to be what people want.

A few of your names have some potential, but people aren't likely searching for those terms. For example, do a search for 'funny' at the link above and the top results and number of searches are:

funny videos 559716
funny 440134
funny pictures 230862
funny games 128663
funny pics 103460
funny jokes 61309
funny stuff 57445
funny cats 48920
funny quotes 46879
funny junk 46427
funny animals 44098

Granted these terms will all be taken in .com, but keep looking down the list and you might find a good .com, .net or .info available.

It's easy man, and again, I have been there too. WHAT SOUNDS GOOD to you might sound useless/horrible/undevelopable to others.

I have lost a few bucks in the past regging domains that I thought were gonna be the next internet boom. It took 2 years to realize they were good only to me.
