Email for Domain

hi all i am pretty new to domain.

after i purchase a domain without getting paid email services, my only option is email forwarding?

are there any options for free email services for domains? after googling abit i only found zoho that supports up to 10free emails?

Forwarding is really the only free option, unless you have a linux server/PC hiding somewhere and the knowhow to setup iRedMail?
