Enom accounts: better $6.95 or $7.00 ?

No, I'm not stupid or retarded, just a reasonable doubt:

- I had an Enom reseller account for $7.50 where I could enter automatically my credit card details (without adding funds) to register domains getting it charged every time in case of successfull registrations only.
The advantage ? I wasn't subject to their charge fee, it seems ...

Now I purchased an $6.95 account where, clicking on "My Info", I've no way to enter my credit card details and I've a fee every time I try to fill my account with new direct credit.

But help me better understanding the difference between these 2 accounts: in the first, I click on "My Info" and I find all fields to enter my card details but this doesn't happen in the second, why ?
Maybe because it's a $6.95 account ? Maybe with a $7.00 account I'll avoid this problem ?

Note: $6.95 + 3% = about $7.16 per registration

I've never heard of that problem - and I think they should be the same. Their are 2 main type od enom accounts, retail and reseller - but they should have the same information for payment.

They are the same, enom changed the way they authenticate CC transactions, and it hardly works for shit!

Sounds like your $7.50 account is a "retail" acct.

Your 7.50 account is a reail account (the person who cut your accoutn has to eat the 3% I think). The 6.95 account is a resellers account.

Ok all clear now so, the better reseller's price that Enom can do, all considered, is $7.15 ($6.95 + 3%).

Yes your reseller can set "retail" or "refill"

they normally set $6.95 to $7.50 to "refill" because of the credit card fees involved

if you fill your account with $100 - you get $97 to spend ....

so yes i can see where your saying 3% but only one single transaction

From then on its $97 - 6.95 a time

I have a 6.95 account also and was wondering about all this last night. I wanted to register a name but I have to fund my account first and take the 3 percent hit. So does that mean if I want to register one name I should basically add 6.95 + (6.95 * .03)? Is it $7.15 or $7.16 with rounding?? Anyone tried this before? What happens if I try to "checkout" without any money in my account? Will it ask me for a credit card or will it try to debit my account and go negative. I did not get far enough to test is out.

Yes, you can't attempt to register names without filling the account with a minimum amount of $100 first and there's no way to solve this matter so consider that you're paying $7.15 per name, nothing to do ...

Best is to send enom a check for a couple thousand. This way, no transaction fees, and if you are a reseller, your account won't go dry.

Never tried to push to registerfly but I guess you can't reverse, only 'transfer' and it will add another year of domain name registration...
