I have always been a big fan of eNom, but today they made me very angry. I registered a series of domains for a small company last week. The company informed me today that the domains are resolving to a porn site. It is actually eNom’s standard parking page (I believe) with a pornographic template. The domains are not even remotely adult nor do they have any kind of history. I understand that they can place these advertisements as indicated in the TOS, but this seems so inherently wrong. I guess I am just angry because this was extremely embarrassing for me and my client.

I will immediately set the name server from here on out though.

I would be very angry if this happened too.

I don't think it is morally correct to set someone else's domains to a porn landing page, especially if it is not obviously a porn-type domain.

I wonder if those domain names you recently registered once pointed to porn
sites, or if the names even have a hint of such.

When you register the names, isn't there an option, midway, to input a set of
DNS before putting in your credit card details?
