Is anyone else having severe issues refilling their enom accounts with a credit card? Enom is about pissing me off! All my info matches straight from my bank statement, each time I try they tell me the address information does not match, they refuse to troubleshoot it and claim I am just doing something wrong, so I go back and look at my online bank statements, each time I tried to refill with 200.00 they took it out of my bank account but told me that it was declined, ummm ok here's a problem. Now I'm back to emailing friggin support which I never get a damned response from. Enom rocks as long as you have no problems, when you have a problem DAMN they can make it rediculously hard to get fixed!

Hmm!

I have got complaints from client say that the new enom CC system is very troublesome.

They failed to register domain under it..

As the credit card authorisation has some problems!

Hi. I have had numerous complaints from my clients on this issue -- CC authorization. I have also been loosing new business.

Error messages are like:

"The address supplied does not match the address for the credit card. This error might be caused by a recent implementation in our systems. For increased security, we have added required fields to the credit card information. "

Can somebody help. Trying to get this sorted with enom would be a pipe dream. I have never yet heard from them on any of my queries.

Im getting the same problem with registerfly.com -which obviously is because they resell for enom- I had to use paypal.

Yeah I ran into some of the same problem with the CC address stuff. Enom has been right there to answer questions in the past though. I think it was a measure they put in to guard against CC fraud but it's obviously got some bugs.

Well they havn't been "right there" for me, I've sent multiple emails, called support, etc. All they tell me is , well the info has to match. Well no shit and I took it straight from my CC statement like they said, it matched anyway, etc. etc.

They may be the biggest but when it comes to support they are not the best.

Sorry I'm just very frustrated!

BF you are right, they only put that mony on hold for a few days, did not know that until they cleared. However I do know what the problem is now and finally got someone on the phone to override it so I thought I'd let you know.

Their new verification system will NOT approve PMB or PO boxes which many of you like me probably have as your billing address.

If you are having problems call them and tell them you are trying to refill your account and your billing addy is a PO box and you need someone to override it. I had the manager of customer service do it for me.

Good luck!

Better fraud protection is a good thing.

The reason fraud screening was lenient in the past is becuase when you implement address verification, and 3 digit security codes it calls for more errors, primarily due to characters not matching, etc...like if you put 3 West Street, but on your CC its 3 W. St., it may be declined.

This is actually a good thing for resellers. Less charge backs. Enom was way too lenient in the past.

Good to know. I had someone else ask me about this and I had no clue what to suggest.

Ok, got some clarification on this from Enom. Maybe it will be helpful to some of you. It looks like the PO box issue is for Mastercard.

----------

Here is more information regarding our new address verification process:

After you submit a purchase request, we send a command to your credit card
company for a pre-authorization for that amount. If this is approved, our
new address verification program will send another request to your credit
card company to confirm personal information. If you receive an error,
please make the update and try again.

For each submission you send, your bank will process the pre-authorization
request first. If the address verification fails, we will NOT submit a
charge against the pre-authorization, and your bank will automatically
remove the hold on your money between 5 and 14 days (all banks differ, you
will need to ask your bank about the timeframe when they release the hold on
funds.) We do not have an electronic way to remove a pre-authorization.

If you get an error that your ADDRESS does not match:
You will need to enter your address as it appears on your credit card
statement. If you have a retail account, please go to: MY ENOM, MY INFO
and make any changes necessary. Then you can reattempt to register or renew
your domain names. It if does not approve, we are unable to force it
through for you; therefore we suggest you try a different card or send a
check for your purchase.

If you have a P.O. Box, please enter in the following universal format:
P. O. Box 322

If you are using a VISA it should process if you are using this format. If
you are using a MasterCard, P.O. Box numbers cannot be used with address
verification software. We are working to find an alternate verification
solution for M/C cardholders that use a P.O. Box for your billing address.
In the meantime, you will need to either enter a different credit card or
send a check to pay for your purchases.

If you get an error that your zip code has failed:
If you are in another country, you should be able to enter your postal code
or country code. If your country does not use one, you can enter NA.

If you get an error that the CVV2 number has failed:
Double check the back of your credit card. The CVV2 number is usually
printed in your signature area, it is printed after a set of numbers, which
may also be your full credit card number. A full explanation is provided on
your MY ENOM, MY INFO page in the Credit Card Information section.

We truly want your registration to go through, and hope these suggestions
will help process your order. Unfortunately, there is not a way for us to
override a failed verification. Perhaps another card will process if you
cannot get the current one to complete.

Good to know but Visa has the same problem they are wrong, however, mine was a PMB not a P.O.

Better verification is good, but when it starts to hinder business they need to find another alternative.

Atleast they are doing something and not just blocking countries all together. I would guess they have some bugs to work out

Never have any problems when refill with CC.

Of course not.

We are not a novice in domains right. I am sure forum members are experienced credit card users.

But it is not the case for our customers.. Some of them may be first time user (in Asia) for internet shopping:)

Domain solution for domain beginners (reliable service)

You're the expert for this matter. :D
You must have good patience.

I had about a dozen back and forth emails w/eNom today on a problem.
Sorry if I hogged all their time.

It was about a transfer that didn't go through. The money will be put back into my account tomorrow. At which point I'll try again.

One more thing, I got burned on several registrations made in Turkey.

I'm still have the problem to refill using cc today

Do you mean the money was deducted but the xfer did not go through? That's a first! I would hate to have to hog each and every transcation with ENOM from now on :(

I thought their billing was virtually flawless until they billed a reseller of mine incorrectly for about a month's worth of reg's and then messed up my commission account royally.
