The $8.95 (.com .net .org .biz .info .us) product is free, has no volume commitment, and includes complementary Retail Account ($8.45) to reg your own domains even cheaper.

Rest of reseller accounts vary price-wise ($6.95 accounts are $399) and require no specific deposit. I have a limited number of reseller $7.25 accounts, $7.95, $8.20 .. etc. Since these reseller accounts were originally created for associates and for in-house use, they require a business relationship with the parent account (me). Thus, serious resellers will be given preference.

If you are NOT a reseller, inquire about the special I am running on retail accounts only - offer ends May 18.

Let me know what your needs are and if you want any custom reseller accounts focusing on low prices on the less popular extensions (ie .ws .cc .ca .nu .bz etc).

I think one needs to respect those resellers who actually made the down payment to Enom ($6,950) to obtain these types of accounts. This is not to say that $400 is not a lot of money. You seem a little surprised. Perhaps you need to think of it as paying the customary upfront "points" to a no interest loan (well sort of).

Say you set your retail price to $9.95 and you sell 300 domains the first year. Your net profit will be ($3*300)-$400 = $500

If you paid Enom $6,950, you unrecovered capital will be -$3,965 after selling 300 domain names, at the end of year [ $6,950-($9.95*300) ].

Of course, high volume resellers will benefit form Enom's plan. I believe the whole idea is to respect this commodity called an Enom $6,95 account and not give it away at Ebay. Many members already have $6,95 accounts and would hate to see them being sold for nothing. I have been known to be wrong though :)

Cheers! :)
