Someone initiated a transfer with godaddy to get my names which are registered @ enom.

I accepted the request sent by godaddy, but have yet to receive anything else from godaddy or enom. When I goto enom whois for my domains to be transferred, I see PENDINGTRANSFER.

What is the next step? shouldn't I receive an email from enom asking me if I wish to make the transfer? How long does it typically take?

Thanks

what do you mean 'someone'?
Are you transfering between registars or transfering ownership?

make sure your domains are not registry locked, or the transfer will fail.
Yes, you should receive an email from enom.

Transferring ownership and they initiated it through godaddy and I accepted it.

But I never got naything from enom.

since it is a transfer of ownership, you will definately get an email.
Give it some time.
Check for domain lock as well.

P.S.
When you say you accepted it, you mean you accepted Goddady's email right?

I have initiated several transfers out of Enom over the last few weeks (due to all of Enom's problems they have been having the last month or so), and every time I hear NOTHING from Enom. They just usually wait the 7 days and the name switches registrars. Of course, I removed the registrar-lock at Enom on the domain before I initiated the outgoing transfer.

This has happened with transfers out of Enom to both Network Solutions and OpenSRS. All I do is reply to the initiating register's verification E-mail (NSI or OpenSRS) and Enom just lets the name fly away without notifying me or requiring any extra verification from me. I would feel better if Enom sent me a verification E-mail, and not sit on the transfer for 7 days and just allow it to go through.

that is terrible security.
Not to mention it would help you know things are going along If they sent an email.

They used to sent emails, I havent done a transfer in the last 2 months.

My problem is not getting confirmation emails when transferring into enom. Had about 10 names denied last week....namecheap and catalog.com being the only successes.

Here is GoDaddy's process to receive a domain.

Advise your administrative contact that the domain name is being transferred.

GoDaddy.com will email your administrative contact by the next business day to request transfer approval.

When this acceptance is received, we will send a transfer request to the registry.

The registry will email your current registrar.

Most likely, your current registrar will send your administrative contact an email asking for your approval of the transfer to GoDaddy.com. Please respond as directed.

Your current registrar will send an acceptance or rejection notice to the registry.

The registry will email GoDaddy.com a notice of the acceptance or rejection.

GoDaddy.com will send you an email informing you that the transfer is complete. Should the transfer fail, we will inform you.
