because the way they have it setup for priority makes this a failure

It does give them the ability to make some use of their RRP connection for profit since people are scripting them anyways. And regardless of whether they catch names or not they have created a somewhat constant income stream and also an afforable way to dropcatch several names a day.

I was highly surprised they did not create a bidding system like when the US TLD was launched (like NW and others use) but I guess with one RRP connection instead of 3-4 this strategy works best for them.

Question Posed: Do large registrars have larger bandwidth allotments to the registry?

They not only make money on the subscriptions, but from people refilling their accounts. I will have to say that there will sooner or later be some lucky SOB that grab a quality name like offshore.com using their system and then everyone will be like wow....only a matter of time but not that likely seeing as even dropwizard and others are struggling at this time in some respects against the likes of snap, namewinner, & buydomains (the big three we could call them).

It's all a "crap shoot" though in the end as many say.

well to be honest about this..i definately am not that educated in catching domain process and bandwith that is required. but i do know one thing..that buydomains is definately successful because of their scripting experience..namewinner technically uses newdentity to catch domains that are $25 or more..Basically point is one can definately go to catch the big names just needs to have experience with it..dropwizard and others aren't doing well because they must not be keeping up..I maybe wrong as i pointed out earlier i do not have indepth knowledge about catching domains but the way enom is setup i am sure they can get the big domains and easily beat sn and nw..the way i see there only challenge is bd..they just need to figure out a way to give the domains to their users or limit the sign ups for the drop club..

please do not post that this is a gamble. you are giving away secrets and this is not moral :)

I like information from all sides.

Please go on, as long as it is lawful.

I signed up today, but I can`t add names for todays drop 2. may It says
Update failed.

These errors occurred:

You cannot update your list during the drop.

But when I can add them ? How much hours before NSI drop time?

It tells you right there: "You may edit your list between 12:00 PM and 11:45 PM PST. List processing occurs between 10:45 AM and 11:30 AM PST the following day."

they didn't get much, did they?

not as good as i thought it would be..before enom club went live they got some good names to get people's attention but now they just dont get anything but maybe worthless ones..

Well they got one for me 7659.net a crappy japanese site. It'll be interesting to see who got the other names checking it out tomorrow. I put that name on there just to test it had about 6 others and it got that one probably the worst.

Anyone got any ideas what to do with a japanese site?

Besides DotWord, has anyone else signed up with Enom's Club?

Yep :)

i signed up a while ago but enom seems unable to compete. might be good for names that absolutely no one wants.

As there not going to get many good names surely it would better if they used there resources to grab 1-2 names instead of whatever people put on there system. So if everyone put the same name on the system then the system would stand a far better chance of grabbing the best names. They could do this by looking at the most popular names each day put on there system.

This would of course limit the amount of names grabbed by the system but whats better loosing the best names because the system is trying to grab the crappy ones as well or just trying the best names and getting them.

What do people think?

But, if that information was disclosed and a bunch of members don't get mediocre names. Then, they are exposing themselves to a lawsuit.

And, do you really want someone at Enom deciding what is the better names?

I'm in :). But their performance is a bit disappointing in the last 2 days...

I guess eNom is beginning to realise how vicious and crooked the final throes of the grab market has become before the advent of WLS.

I won't be surprised if anything goes today.

I signed up, but they haven't caught anything for me so far. I probably wasted my money.

bad luck u lost 99$ :( well i really get pissed off with the 99 figure why the f they dont just charge 100 lol damn sycological games
