Wanted: Service Escrow help

Lets assume the situation:

I am buying a name via escrow.com The deal amount is (lets say) 10K$ and I am from Germany. I have a friend in US who had to give me 10K$ for some reasons. Intead of sending the money to me, is it possible that he send this 10K$ to my escrow account provided that i send him the transaction ID and all other relevant information in oder for the wire to be sent.
Do you think Escrow will accept the payment sent this way?

any input would be appreciated.

I wouldnt see why not, but if Escrow needs something in return for the funds I would just say that its a domain name transaction. Take one of your low level domain names and use that for the Escrow transaction, like your friend bought it from you for $10K. Once its transferred to him, just have him transfer it back.
