Current Offer $1800- Looking for $2500 offers.

This is the perfect opportunity for anyone looking to make a little bit of money.

PHPCart.net is now a well known script and we currently have a growing client list which stands at 518. I am looking to sell this site/scripts as a package as I am looking to focus on my next development.

The script is stable and we usually release an update every few months. Our forum is active with licensed members helping each other out and releasing hacks for each other to use.

The business runs itself, all you need to do is answer support and pre-sale questions via email and the forum every few days. My clients are used to a quick response to support related issues, have a look on the support forum for an example of my reply times.

http://www.phpcart.net/forum/

The project has been running since 2002 and has been quite successful so far. It was previously under the domain phpcart.co.uk

Income since April last year has been $11,538.66 USD (Approx £7,121.66 GBP).

The domain itself receives a lot of traffic from a handful of script resource indexes as well as search engines. Stats can be provided via PM.

Price: I am looking for around $2500 which will include full ownership and transferral of the project as a whole. Current license holders receive support and updates free of charge so the new owner would have to agree and sign a contract agreeing to this.

Advertising Expenses: None - referrals come from hotscripts and other script directories.

Income:

June 2004
Total Income (USD): $485.68
Total Income (GBP): £303.55

May 2004
Total Income (USD): $930.58
Total Income (GBP): £581.61

April 2004
Total Income (USD): $642.67
Total Income (GBP): £401.67

PHPcart seems to be trademarked by phpcart.com. Does this present a problem? Have they contacted you about this?

Never found any proof of it being trademarked, and they have never contacted phpcart.net in the two+ years the site has been running

Please direct questions via PM

The PHP license says:
___________________________________________________________
3.The name "PHP" must not be used to endorse or promote products
derived from this software without prior written permission. For
written permission, please contact [email protected].

4. Products derived from this software may not be called "PHP", nor
may "PHP" appear in their name, without prior written permission
from [email protected]. You may indicate that your software works in
conjunction with PHP by saying "Foo for PHP" instead of calling
it "PHP Foo" or "phpfoo"
__________________________________________________________
As I understand, they do not agree commercial softwares that have "PHP" in their name.
Do you have their permission?
If the stats provided are accurate, and you do have their permission, you are selling it for less than you might get!!

The catch of why it's selling for less then "we might actually get" is that you'll have to provide 2-3 hours a month in support to existing clients(sign a contract).

No phpcart.net dont have permission to use "PHP" in the name, however I beleive zend overruled that a long time ago as phpmanager.com was forced to change name but then changed back a few weeks later due to the kick up among site owners

Sorry but I feel it best to ask certain questions here instead of a PM. This is information that you should post.

1. How many tech support email questions do you get per day?
2. Does your VB forums include a license? Which type? Does it expire and when?
3. Do you have any mods in the forums? Are they paid?
4. I see a PHPCart Team....who are they?
5. Once the site is purchased can I assume I will be allowed to change the pricing structure?

Thank you for taking to time to reply. I am sure these questions are something that will only help to sell your site.

I really hope you don't mean 2-3 hours PER client...

Support is via forum only, approx 1-2 posts per week.
The vBulletin license is not included, it will be transfered to another site on completion of the sale.
===================

No moderators on the forum, however the group are friendly and help each other out

===============

PHPCart Team is a single man operation - you'll take over on ownership transfer.

The new owner is free to do as they wish. You can change the pricing scheme if you wish, however existing clients cannot be effected and must receive support and access to updates. A writen agreement will be signed regarding this to make sure they are taken care of and not dumped.

Does the site include the .co.uk url as well. It appears that the site was previously there and then changed last year. the .co.uk forwards to the .com now but if many of the links to the site are from the .co.uk then some of the traffic is gonna be lost.

excellent...then I think you are making a good sale...

I will consider it myself but I am trying to buy a rather more expensive site at the moment. :)
If that doesnt happen...then maybe I will consider your site if it is still available.

Good luck
