Hi

Anyone know why when I check a .eu name at eurodns it says its taken, but checking the eurid whois shows it as available?

Very frustrating!

Cheers

Because EuroDNS allocate just 1 slot per name, which has been already been taken by another EuroDNS member. You can still pre-reg the name, just not at EuroDNS.

as far as i know Eurodns are taking orders till Midnight CET time. i was told that the whois of Eurid will shut down after 12 midnight. Domainname.de and internet.bs are already closed.
So Eurodns is still an option to register your names at the last moment.
1 and half hours to go for the midnight
Goood luck

I have pre-registered domains at EuroDNS that used to show as FREE a couple of days ago. Now they are showing as Sunrise Free.

Thanks for the replies.

@leading names... does this mean that someone else, using eurodns, has already "pre-registered" the name I'm going for?

Thanks

Dave

i heard about 800,000 domains are being sent for registration via eurodns alone
so you can expect the price hike
