Yes. And no.

This is not uncommon in the business world. Products sold in other countries must abide by those host countries.

To me it is no different from banning some fruits, plants, and animal species.

Sometimes it is politicking by placing extraordinary high tariffs on products.

Microsoft was slapped down hard a few years ago in the EU as well over not making the IE browser usable without their product.

EU isnt out to kill American companies. They just dont let large corporations jerk them around the way the US government does. If American companies dont like it, they are free to pack up and buzz off.
