I would say its only worth $xx at the most. There is almost no use for the name. If someone wants to buy the controller they would just go to the store to buy it or buy it from bestbuy.com. All of the information about the controller is on a ton of other websites that give info about the entire system as well as the controller and all the games. Just like if you owned the PS2 name dualshock2controller.com it would be worth nothing.

WiiVirtual.com
WiiVR.com
WiiRev.com
WiiTogether.com

I would also have to give this one the xx range.

Additionally, Wiimote.com, the singlular version, is bound to get more type in traffic in my opinion.

Good luck!

It is priced at xx because it can be bought elsewhere? I guess nrmillions Wii names are worth xx. wiiarcade vs nintendo website, wiiwebsite vs nintendo website, wiiconnect vs nintendo website, etc.

That doesn't make any since if you compare that way. Every name needs to be developed to become more valuable. The shorter and catchier the name the better for customer will remeber it. I'm aware that Wiiremote (singular) would be better, but the game is also player quite a bit with multiple remotes. Thus, "Wiiremotes". The new term is picking up fast, and I believe it will catch like "podcast or podcasts" did.

I thought it would value higher due to its simplicity.
Anymore ideas on value for Wiiremotes.com? More would definitely be appreciated, even if the xx is what everyone thinks it's worth. Two opinions isn't quite enough.

Thanks again

not all wii names are only worth xx. wiiwebsite would be better than nintendo website because it is not a TM violation. a name such as wiiwebsite could easily be developed into many things dealing with the wii. i just think wiimotes is too limiting of a name. not all names are worth more just because they are developed and not all names need to be developed to be valuable to people.

Wiimotes is a really clever name, but it seems sometimes that cleverness and wordplay don't have much to do with the success of the name, speaking as one who loves word plays. Still, the .com TLD is great, and it is under 10 letters with no hyphens and numbers. I'd say try either parking it once the product comes out, or develop it and get it indexed...

I can list it for you on wiinames.com if you can put a link on a site for me.

Good luck!

i have pending sale for a wiimote name for over 3k within 2 weeks of it's purchase. those who assert it's $10 value need only do their due diligence. wiimote is a bonafide name used in gaming circles, media reviews, with a lot of value. don't forget, all the attention nintendo received was mostly due to the innovative remote.

wiimote(s) has an appraised value of over 10k, the least and may get more in the summer.

good luck!

Kudos for biznews! He actually said what I was trying to say, and even backed it up. I'm not saying this because he appraised the name higher (alot higher then even I imagined), but because he understands the market. Wiimotes IS NOT Nintendos terminology, but the public's new word term. Congratulations biznews, for a great sell!

nrmillions...."wiiwebsite would be better than nintendo website because it is not a TM violation. a name such as wiiwebsite could easily be developed into many things dealing with the wii"

Not a TM violation, and Wiimotes is? Better than Nintendo, because you deal with more things than Ninitendo? What else will you have that they woundn't have? Wiimotes would not be limited, as well. It's just a catchy Wii related name, to get you through the door. Enough said.

Foodie...I do agree with you about clever is not always successful, but it won't hurt the effort. That's why I picked up a few others (like everyone else). I just liked Wiimotes the best, and it is a bit different than all our other Wii names. I would like to post them to your site, along with the others, if possible.

Let me know which ones can be posted:
wiimotes.com
wiiempire.com
wiifreak.com
wiifreaks.com
wiihd.com
wiihole.com (humorous, couldn't resist)
wiipalace.com
wiiswap.com
wiitrading.com
wiitrailer.com
wiiwarehouse.com

These are parked at Sedo. Would i just email you? Let me know here or through pm...thanks

To all.... thanks to everyone who has posted here, positive and negative.

More input for value on Wiimotes.com would be great!!

Thanks

as an owner, if you feel, you have picked up an above average good name, you MUST do your part to spread use of the terminology. this is the least you can do to increase value of the name. who is better motivated than the owner themself? this is what big media does and overnight, their name generates 1000 times value over its registration price.

do not let the name sit along and let market forces decide, how popular it gets. do all you can to spread use of the word. this is least you can do. after all you own the domain.

maui, far as, where i advertised it? nowhere. 2 buyers just popped up. i knew they would. after all the buzz at the e3, this is all they talked and wrote about...

haven't signed a nd agreement, so will reveal the name. it is wiiremote.com by the way. the only name that really matters. i am not saying other names are not worthy of sales, but, if it is not spoken and written about, it will be hard to get high prices...

i tried selling names for $50 at dnforum, which no one brought inspite of repeated postings. some of which were eventually sold for between 2k - 4k.

as long as you know it is a reasonably good domain, a buyer who comes along alone will get you a respectable price. pushing domains via advertising greatly diminishes your negotiating power unless the name is exceptional.

i wish you all good luck in selling and profiting from your names.

i also own these if anyone is interested to know...

biznews....Good Advice. I had no idea you owned Wiiremote.com, which IS the better name, that wasn't available obviously. GOOD JOB!

maui...if you want to know the value of your names, you need to post on your own board. I'd actually like to get a few more VALUES from other members for.....

Wiiremotes.com ....let's not get side-tracked.

Thanks again

mango, i wasnt saying that your name is a TM problem. If wiimotes really is public terminology outside of nintendo then your name is def worth more than I said. I still dont think as high as $10k though. The more that wii names go up in value the better though since I own 12 of them and tons of other people on here do too so good luck!

nrmillions...maybe we both had a little miscommunication. I think all of us "Wii" owners don't really know where it's going, and we all have are own thoughts, opinions, and directions. Only time will tell if any of us are even close, but for now.... It's good debate and a different perspective. Cheers!

biznews...don't get too discouraged with the dnforum buyers. There are definately alot of wholesale buyers, but there are brokers, as well. Patience at this forum will eventually lead to a decent sell. I just sold Aquamarina.com for x,xxx last week, to a dnforum member.

Anybody else with a valuation for Wiimotes.com, or has it run it's course?

The Wii controller will be called "Wii remotes" so this may have some value in the future, but I doubt it. I managed to snag several nice domain names early in the game.

Nintendowwi.com
Redwii.com
Greenwii.com
Platinumwii.com
Residentevilwii.com
Duckhuntwii.com
12cmgames.com

As for yours, maybe low XX right now.

Quite a heated discussion, folks! I like wiimotes. Or wiiremotes...plus a lot of other wii names. Plenty of room for everyone, and may someone get rich quick! :-) It's all fun and speculative. I have the names on a database now on my http://www.wiinames.com. If anyone wants to do a few listings in exchange for a link on a site, email me at the site...I have a cool banner that should spice up a site slightly!

Yea, nice names for all.

These domain names will be worth a fortune when the Wii launches.
