Up front disclaimer: I'm not particularly excited by .co names
Sorry to say that without there being some future startup company called exico.com who might be interested in such a name (but would probably just buy the .com from the domainer who probably holds it), I'm just not getting the worth at all. What justifies your thinking exi.co is worth $x,xxx?

@Commerce, thank you for your feedback
the domain industry is one juicy one if you have good salesman skills,

for an end-user being a business, investing x,xxx$ in a short catchy domain name that you can use in your marketing,
is a very good investment with good ROI

@Shane, seriously, if you owned the domain you will accept a lowball offer in that range???

Yes, I would accept $10-$20... I have dropped 3 letter .COs with much better letters.

Then prepare to hold onto that domain for a very, very long time.

I am not questioning your sales tactics. I'm just giving you an honest appraisal.

Belgian, your argument is pointless.
as we're not the end-user you seek, so your sales tactics whatever they are... are irrelevant to opinions given.

so no need to further attempt to convince us, of it's potential.

go sell it, in that price range, then come back and slap me with the cash. :)

imo....

@BelgianGuru I'll check the sales report when you sell this thing for $x,xxx. Until then, I'll stick with my valuation.

Agreed 100%. Some .co names are popping right now but it's few and far between really. Look at ello.co and ello.com fiasco.
Monthly stats over the trailing 5 months:
  • ello.com 8,000, 8,000, 9,000, 1.3MM and 1.2MM uniques.
  • ello.co 10,000 110,000, 750,000, 25MM and 30MM uniques
ello.co lost out on 10% of it's uniques in 2 months because they didn't own the .com

this prove nothing, what was the protocol, where the traffic came from , age of the domains..etc...

What I'm saying is that ELLO.co lost 10% of it's traffic because they didn't have the .com. It's an expensive gamble to go with .co. As a marketing professional I can tell you those 2.5MM clicks won't be cheap to get back. Who cares where they came from. It's still pricey.
