Hi guys,

may i ask some questions to you experts please...

1) does there really exists expired domains (still after redemptation period) with hits/day 1000+ ?

2) how to scan for such domains if i have daily updates about expired domains? How can i rate them? Do i have to type every possible keyword to google? I know about alexa and i know some expired domains have 50+ links from other sites regarding alexa but this domains dont get more then 10 hits / day.

3) will an expired domain get less and less hits / day?

thank you in advance for your answers....

1. Yes

2. Dropshark 2.0 will do this. Version 2.0 is scheduled for release in October. In order to ensure that this is not an ad, though, I'll refrain from saying more, and also point out that there are other programs and web sites that will do it, too.

3. It depends. If you add content and make it compelling, it might even get more.

Those who own the program now, under the Early Adopter license, will never be charged for an upgrade.

Version 2.0 will most likely not have an increased price, but I can't say for 100% certain.

What I do know is that I'm in negotiations for the data feed, and might make 2.0 have all of the link data available for user-retrieval as part of the program (meaning that you'd best not use it to slam Overture, for example, or they might shut you off), or charge a small subscription price (most likely sub-$10) for a full data feed including Overture, Alexa, Google, DMOZ, Yahoo, etc. That will get you the numbers for each and every dropping domain, to do with as you wish.

The graphical charting in 2.0 will make this data VERY useful. I plan on posting some screenshots of the 2.0 graphs this weekend.

And as a teaser, I should point out that only registered users will get access to the 2.0 beta. Yeah, I know, shameless.

But you're making me sound like an ad, now, so cut it out! :-)
