Fabulous Stats Jumping Around?

Lately I have noticed weird activity on certain domains which were getting say 1-2 hits a day max up to 10-20 or they will be abnormally low other days. These are not showing up as search engine bots or achivers either. Anyone else noticing some variation here?

i think that'd almost normal - i have a couple of names parked at different places , that do the same thing - usually lasts up to 7 days with 10 -30 type-ins per day and then ... only 1 or 2 for a few month...

Well I was thinking that some people are running automated programs because there are a lot of people like "domain active" and others buying up any and every generic type-in name possible and they have to have some type of webcrawler activated searching for word combinations even with the smallest overture score. I saw one week where it was happening on 3 letter names and then on other keywords another day. I would imagine if they are using a proxy then it would show up as uniques. However, if some of these names are indeed getting 10-20+ uniques per day that's not bad at all.
