i have no fb :)

however, i read the other day that fb will be moving everyone to new, more secure servers, that are slower than current.

the motive is to increase a users browsing time on fb and then they can sell more ads based on a new average "time spent/per user ratio's"

at least that's my theory

Don, Facebook is the most visited destination on the Internet, surpassing Google. So I don't think they need to prove anything. ;)

they have to prove to shareholders, that they can not only sustain, but show growth in revenues

which has to be comparative to their ever extending "reach".

otherwise.....

How they count their numbers is the big question. They constantly bombard me with emails and I don't have the time to waste being on their service. A friend of mine constantly puts them in his spam folder but they must revolve the servers, because he hasn't been on facebook for over 3 years yet keeps getting mail. I also know all kinds of people who can't ever remember the log in that they used. That coupled with IPO question I wouldn't trust anything coming out of facebook.
