The value of this domain varies greatly between the consumer and the reseller. The name by itself looks like it could be worth somewhere between high $xxxx to low $xx,xxx to the right buyer. If you put it up for auction, I wouldn't be surprised if it went for the same amount as FamilyPhotos.com.

Good luck with it.

I like this name Michael!

Unfortunately, domestic abuse is all too common. I would guess this is likely to get some traffic. Low to mid five figures.

thanks Alexander and Derek,
That's about what I thought as well.
I was thinking to see if I can find some end users and email them, or just put it on auction with a reserve in low xx,xxx
btw what do you think would be best sedo or ebay? :)

Recently acquired this one :)
Great generic from 1998.
The previous owner had a family violence treatment center and said the domain brought him more clients than he could handle, it should be perfect for this type of business.

FamilyPhotos.com sold for $35k in March 2007, I think this one is comparable.

thanks

On the surface, it looks like a good name.

However, IMO the .org extension is best suited for a domain such as this.

A domain like "family photos" has much more value because it brings a "positive, happier type" image to the mind, in contrast to "family violence" which often ends as a family break-up, child abuse or some other tragedy.

If the domain has traffic, then a good option would be to market to the .org site, before going to auction.

Another option, build a site so people can post pictures, from the result of actual "family violence".

Good Luck!
