famous siblings or celebrity-like names

is it ok to register names like olsontwins.com, baldwinbrothers.com, or hiltonsisters.com? anyone see a problem with registering surnames of famous brothers and sisters, etc ..?

would they have any legal rights to such a domain name, or could they order a C&D on you?

I very much doubt it unless they were a celebrity money-making entity in their own right(s), and you were making money out of their collective moniker.

What is your tolerance level of risk?

The lower it is, the less ok this is.

Keep in mind, the first step of the legal process is the C&D. Receiving one doesn't cost you anything.

IF you do get one, then you can start your risk assessments from that level, and decide again if it is worth it.
