The website Fantronic.com is based on a highly modified version of osCommerce. The domain is 4 years old and receives some traffic from Google and other search engines, but the site was not active until 09/2008. It was developed for a client as part of a larger deal, however the client ultimately did not pay, so it has essentially been sitting idle for the past 6 months. We host the site and we own the domain, thus preventing the deadbeat client from redirecting traffic to another host.
You will have to work to make money with this site, but the work mainly consists of packing & shipping the orders you receive. Larger case-quantity orders can be drop-shipped so you never have to touch it. You can get a decent flow of traffic with PPC ads. I will provide you with some wholesale supplier information, and the site database includes over 600 previous customers.
The revenue details for the site period September 2008 until December 2008 are $12,300 - but the site effectively went down early December so it was averaging $4K per month in sales with an average spend of $800 per month on AdWords (primary source of traffic). The sales were increasing each month, and would likely be over $xx,xxx by now if the site continued operating normally - keep in mind that is just by running an inexpensive AdWords campaign. There is a lot more you can do to promote the site.
Profit margins on computer fans are typically 30% or more, some fans have margins over 50%. Your net income will vary based on how effective you are at promoting the site and how much inventory you purchase.
The goal of the site is to cater to buyers who need large quantities of fans, therefore it is not unusual to receive orders of $500+ several times each week. The site has special price-break functions built in.
Another nice thing about computer fans is that they do not require a lot of storage space. You can fit most of the inventory into a small 10x10 foot area with room to spare. You do not need a warehouse unless you become a much larger operation.
This is a great opportunity for the right person or company. We are selling this to recuperate as much of the unpaid fees as possible; and considering the proven income potential, you can break even within 6 months or less.
There is no inventory included as part of this transaction, and I would recommend stocking at least $5,000 worth of inventory.
Considering offers in the $xx,xxx range.
Please contact by PM if you have any questions.
If you would like assistance from my company in getting the site up and running again, we can negotiate a separate agreement and compensation plan for that.
