excellent!
end user for this one could get you hi $XXXX, possibly more.

its a dot info and a great word. .info in France is second to .fr, but it appears to me that it might actually over take it the way its going.

I do not see how you can come to this conclusion.
Anyway, no more than $50 to a reseller IMO.

I also don't see how a french word, no matter how good it is, with .info extension can be worth $X,XXX. Maybe it would be worth that if it was financement.fr

Mind sharing where you got that info from? :-)

for one thing, I live in Europe.
Secondly, I travel to Paris a lot, and French is my 3rd best spoken language.
Fourth, I have sold similar names (in French and German) for low $XXXX.
Finally, .info is very very mainstream in France, as it is in Germany.

I hope that saitfies your curiousity.
I spoke from my experience, not from my bias.

Fair enough. I thought there was a website out there that ranked domain extensions popularity for every country, that's all. :ok:

there is such a web site.
I am sure someone has it here.

It was last updated a few months ago.
Also, there is another one, maybe in a forum? Where users selected by their country which tld is best, and in France, .info came in second, as it did in Germany, with amazingly, .com as third.
Generally, .info is very very strong in Europe. I'll try to find the links.

I am French, knows quite well the French market, and still do not think you will get more than $50 from a reseller. Stick on .com for French domains.
Anyway good luck :-)

Then, is $50 the maximum value for a french generic .info domain name ? Well, for $50 I won't sell it anyway...

So ?
Remember the respondents are domainers. Not sure this poll reflects the real situation.

I just gave the url and didn't comment the survey. With 2 people giving their opinion for France, it is not really representative of the reality... :undecided

Thanks for your appraisal ! :approve:

Finanzen.info
("Finances" in German) was sold at €4,900 = $5,888 on sedo.

I think if you have the right buyer you might get this price.

but minimum is between EUR 700-EUR1000 no less
