I snapped www.thebanner.net last month and set up
a site and banner exchange script.
1 : Its set at 9:10 ratio so feel free to join.
2 : What are some good ways to start it off?
I can see that once its working, 10% of the banners
recruit new members, or your own business and pay
for advertising from that.
Here's some figures I've been throwing around in my head.
If I put up $500 for google adwords I could get 10,000 hits,
with 5% conversion (optimistic being free to join) thats
500 members. free-banners claim to have 20 million impressions
per month from 150,000 members, works out to 40 impressions
per day per site, each site gets 40 page views a day on average!
That gives me 40X500 = 20,000 impressions a day of which 10%
I can display my own banner.
So for $500 investment, I get 2,000 free ads a day ongoing, which
should only take a few months to make back the $500!
All this will only work if the name is good, I think thebanner.net
is good enough, there's 1000s of exchanges running with crap
names.
Anyone here experienced with banner exchanges?
