not grammatically correct, visitingflorida would be better and visitflorida better yet. I dont see any value hope i am wrong
good luck

I have held this site for years and think it is very valuable.... I decided to get a professional appriasel to ensure I'm not out of my mind....

I though it would be worth more, but I am satisfied with this appriasel..

VisitFlorida.com Yes, VisitingFlorida.com Possibly, FloridaVisiting.com No – it just sounds to awkward.

"Professional" appraisals are generally a waste of money, especially for two word combos, which are extremely difficult to value unless they get traffic.

The "Professional" who appraised this name at $10,000 obviously either has no experience or has bumped up his appraisal dramatically to justify the money you're paying him.

Honestly, I don't think you would find a buyer for this name if you listed it for sale for $100 on here, you may get slightly more from a confused end user.

I'll tell you it's worth $15,000 if you paypal me $39 :-)

Keith Pieper is behind the company with the appraisel.... Via Google, he seems pretty reputable....

but clasione, what do you THINK it is worth?

Try to put that domain on sale based on your price or the appraisal price and we can quickly assess who's right and wrong.

visitingLA.com is still available to register for anybody who is interested.

oops.. i thought it was vistingSTATE_OR_CITY

then newyorkvisiting.com is still available!

so is chicagovisiting.com and probably others

be a "seeker"

DNF$ Donations are greatly appreciated for any domains that are registered since this post. : )

---

Those are the best points I've heard yet.....

I don't know, it's just a gut feeling.... I think it's valuable. More valuable then NewYorkVisiting.com - (i almost just registered it)

If Chicago was famous globally for visiting, I'd probably register chicagovisiting.com since it's a two worder..

I just like FloridaVisiting.com - I guess becasue it's the vaca capitol of the world....

Just has a ring to it to me....

Plus - I've been hearing alot of commercials for visitingflorida.com or visitflorida.com - I'd bet it should be decent typo/error

did anyone take a look at Zetetic ?

I see.. but if you think floridavisiting.com is worth low $$,$$$ then at least all major cities are worth $$$, no?

Then, I'm not sure why you are hesitant in registering all major cities. I'm just trying to think on your shoes.

Anyways... Good luck with the domain.

Well, after time, it's worth more than just the name now....

Keep in mind it's now (since I've owned it for years) a site already getting traffic, and already listed in all search engines, and already has a listing in DMOZ in the best possible catagory:

USA - Florida - Guides & Directories

Not an easy cat to get listed in..... I'm very lucky it got in such a broad catagory....

Add on the fact that it actually looks professional and targets a very high advertising market, these are also things to be considered....

Buying a new site and expecting it to do as well in search engines as an old established site is a complete different story...

You would be doing yourself a service if you let go of this and move on. Sometimes the "majority" is wrong, but not this time.

Gariben, love your avatar.

Snap out of it. It's becoming embarrassing on a number of levels. DesperateDomainerHerselfDeluding.com. I've let four-letter .com's better than this twice-dead domain drop. We're on your side, writing in your best interests.

You can have all the "gut feelings" in the world, think whatever you want, and when you step out of the dream you will realize that the domain isn't worth more than a few bucks.

Instead of wasting your money on appraisals you should of just listened to the guys over here. No one would ever take an "professional appraisal" seriously, even is it was done by the pope.

or ... because you do have a nice site there ... buy a domain that makes sense and tranfer the site over.
