Holders of Australian ABNs , may be interested to see this list of remaining 2 letter dot net dot au that are available to register

Of course you may only register them if
a. You have a abn or acn
b. They relate to your Australian business( eg Domain monetisation )
and c. you have no intention to sell after the au market is freed in June 2008

Are there any good ones left?

Thanks for the list, hard to say what they will be worth in the future, but it would be fairly realistic to imagine they are worth more than the reg fee, paticularly if you picked up the whole lot and held them.

This is a really tough one. I'm not a huge fan on .net.au. Given the recent clusterf#$# with ICANN and their .whateveryouwant - it might not be a good time to buy a .au of any kind!

Why would the recent ICANN changes make it undesirable to register .au names?

I'd dare say that the most likely aftermarket sales of .au CCTLDs would occur here at DNF (even though Jarred hasn't yet created the .au subforum). Until we see a few transactions go through (via reputable members) it would be hard to gauge the value of the remaining available names. The .au namespace needs a couple of entries in DNJournal to break the auDA-inspired inertia.

P.S. great list, Joe.

This ICANN nonsense will affect .au less than .com IMHO. Will be pretty hard to shake .au as being the Australian extension whereas .com may find certain segments being eroded as .xxx, .cars, .realty take $$$ out of the domain aftermarket.
