I cant see how nipponspace would fit into this discussion, its the English writing for something realting somehow to something Japanese..I think this is more about words like gelati.com or haus.com

I have had a few sales for Multilingual domains. Recently sold Verzekerd.net on Sedo which is Dutch for 'Insured'. Some recent domains I have gotten are Lyssnar.com 'Listening' in Swedish; Hoogste.com 'Higher' in Dutch

Here is a tool for translating foreign words in any language. I use this site to translate any word and identify which language it is in.

There is value and incredible potential in this area.

I own numerous .com and .net in Italian, German, Arabic, French, and other languages.

One is on auction at sedo this moment. It happens to be French.

Quit thinking about this being English words in another language. Flat out, IT IS another language. Look for keywords and terms that are popular IN THAT LANGUAGE, not necessarily its English counterpart.

Yes, this will take a great deal of time but can be rewarding. I have many that bring in decent, not stellar, but decent revenue and PPC.

As with the value of anything, the value is what someone else is willing to pay for it.

So basically, in OUR market, they are not very valuable unless you find the right buyer.
