Hey,

I bought readingfestival.info, and am hoping to whack a forum on it...

BUT, im a newbie and im not sure where to get a decent forum that i will understand how to use, etc.

Can anyone help?

Links, tips, anything!

Thanks in advance :cheeky:

Invisionboard or phpbb are easy to use and free - vBulletin is the "king" but not free and a bit more complex. Member Abusiveelusive is offering a cheap install of the latest version of IB at present.

ah cool, thanks.

Where can i find info about this cheap IB?

im doing the a simular thing but for the v-festival self promotion removed im using phpbb for my forum, if you would be intrested in exchanging links as its a simular type of site pm me (if you have hosting with cpanel and Fantastico you can install phpbb or Invisionboard with a few clicks)

IPB isnt free (unless you get invisionfree.com). it's $70 for a 1 year license. If i were you though, i'd shell out the extra $15 for a vBulletin license ($85). It's way better.

IPB is only $40 until September 28th. ;)

And free IPB can be found at www.forumflash.com (Official free IPB)

Since you're looking to just whack a forum on it, it sounds like you are going to flip it as a forum. I'd go with phpBB.

If you were looking for a superiour forum for a site you cared about, definitely vB.

i can do it you can look my topic too in ads area. pm if interested!
