The California Supreme Court just ruled - granting immunity to all but the initial sources of defamatory statements protects freedom of expression.

That would seem to limit the value of your domain - in my humble opinion. Probably not worth more than the reg fee, assuming California sets a national trend, as it usually does.

You're probably right, although legal questions about forum contents are getting more and more frequent as time goes by.

Wherever you have laws and rules, you also have limitations, so there will always be need of legal advice to this specific subject.
