I signed into my netsol account and found out that I own nerx dot xyz which I never purchased and have no interest in. I do own nerx dot com.

Has this happened to anyone? This is unbelievable!

I've opened a support ticket at netsol.

Yet another way of giving away free .xyz.

I would be pissed to see these in my account.

Need to get Netsol to delete it immediately before you a charged a renewal fee next spring.

I called and was told that it would be deleted. It's completely absurd to have to waste my time to deal with this.

That would be a whole new can of worms as it that kind of opt-out would probably be against a lot of registrar agreements and perhaps legislation. The "registrant" has to choose to renew.

It is a kind of marketing strategy, but however, the domain can appreciate like that of whiskey.com of Catello
