free webdesign tools

Greetings!

could anyone tell about a place where they have free tools (program) for webdesign. I am told microsoft has one and cute ftp is another,however both of them are free for 30 days only
I'd appreciate if you could tell be pros and cons from personal use.

Microsoft has FrontPage, which can cost alot if you purchase MS Office ($500+). But, you can design webpages in Microsoft Word, they are crappy, but its still design

Also, you may want to look at some web hosting companies have have the Psoft.net program, Site Studio. Thats always a cool thing!

Just head down to www.download.com - some people release some great freeware design tools, like "1st page 2000", I used it a while ago, it was cool .
