I thought this was a pretty fair .com in a very scarce field.
Your thoughts, please?

Very nice domain mid to high XXXX at least possibly more

Thanks loscoco... but I'm surprised at that high figure. Anyone else?

Very nice indeed. Low $xxxx.

Best of luck,
Rob

Where are you guys getting those numbers from?

Reg Fee - Low $xx

Not many 3 word domains go for $xxxx, even with 'credit' in them IMHO. To domainer for $xx and to end user at $xxx at most. I am assuming 0 traffic of course.

Good luck with it!

Paul

Thanks guys. AllDig "where do YOU get those numbers from ? ;)

FreeCreditReport.com is a VERY highly marketed site than brings in a lot of revenue for them. This domain is very similar and i am sure gets some typo traffic. But the main value is in a credit company that would want to start and advertise another service that gives you the details of your credit. More and more that is becoming an important factor in you buying a home, car, or other purchases. I would not let this one go to an end user for anthing less than $10,000 IMHO. Some credit union would love this one. It may take a while but keep it out there.

There's a reason no other extensions are registered and the .com version was "Created on: 01-Dec-05"

There's also a reason why the term yields no overture results and 162 google results.

Thanks, loscocco. I'm not sure about that high a figure, but I'm certain this domain has more than a little value. AllDig: I appreciate your feedback, but the fact this group of words has little or no Overture of google result doesn't necessarily mean it's worthless. Think outside the box for a minute: there are virtually no decent credit reporting .coms left. The value of this domain lies in it's clarity. It will have relevant meaning to both the end user and their potential clients.

I never said it was worthless. I said it was close to worthless (reg fee-$xx).

It's when you start thinking outside the box that you start moving towards valuation on the basis of developmental value rather than inherent value. In other words, if you have to explain to someone why a certain domain name has value then its value is not initially apparent (hence it has little inherent value). I use many tools as a basis for valuation...not just google/ovt...I was just providing a few examples of how exactly I came to that conclusion.

Can't see much value. It was available for a reason.

Shaun

PS. Don't you just hate when people ask for appraisals, and then argue with you after you give it?

Heh. Yup. Just another sign that the name has less value than anticipated.

PS: love the sig, Shaun :ok: Remember that first deal we made back in mid 2000 with that 2 character .org? Heh. Brings back memories.

I'm not arguing guys... I did thank you, alldig, for your feedback. I was discussing my thoughts on the domain, as well. This is a discussion forum, right?

I already know this domain has value. I put it here to get some objective feedback. I did, and again, thank you everyone for yours.

But there are 2 professional domainers (member #292 and #577) in this thread telling you that is doesn't. You can think what you wish. Good luck.

Thanks alldig. I've been in the game awhile myself. I understand what your saying and why your saying it.

I hear and respect the good intentions of all opinions here. If there are others who wish to join the party, please do !

wordplay, if you believe what you are saying.. why would you leave freecreditdetail.com unregistered? Get it man before someone else does!

Shaun

I didn't read all the replys.. but this is low xx ... borderline reg fee.

If available I wouldnt reg it..

Because I like the plural, Shaun. Wouldn't you rather have details about your credit than a detail? Would you rather own FreeDetail.com or FreeDetails.com?

Thanks, JackSplat.

Any other appraisals?
