Hardly:greenroll:

We won't get filthy rich off what we got, but we will do nicely on the ad revenue. Certainly worth the $10 canadian each.

There were some very nice high scoring keyword laden names, and some very decent brandable ones we could identify.

bk.ca - would have been nice
targetmarket.ca - nice for developing
slimlife.ca - again nice for developing
travelpride.ca - gay travel is huge business

But we did grab nearly every casino related one.

Looking at next weeks list - now that is 'hardly'.

And do people not like appraising .ca's for some reason? It's almost as though they have leprosy.

Alright you'd like appraisals. No complaining now:tape2:

wnrs.ca no links no bids why would you register it? No value $0

pokerpass.ca no links no bids... no value $0

casinoplayers.ca overture says 3k searches bids are .14c it probably won't make registration price back. value $10

freecraps.ca overture says 2.5 bids .45 it might make registration price back. value $10

onlinecasinoblackjack.ca O/T says 2.6k bids $1.50...too long for many typeins it may make regististration value $25

targetmarket.ca O/T says 3.5k bids .25 too generic for my taste. Doubt if it will make reg fee value $25

slimlife.ca is actually "slim for life" in O/T but it seems to me there used to be a drink named slimlife so there may be a TM problem. little search activity in O/T and bids are .11c so I doubt if it will make reg fee.

travelpride.ca no stats no links it won't make reg fee and your only hope is to sell it to someone. Value $0

Now compare the above to bk.ca or educationloans.ca 12k searches $5.29 bid
and I was top bidder for it for $75. ( didn't catch it) or soccergirl or soccergirls.ca 19k searches .45c bids and no one even registered them. Great site for sexy girls and soccer gear etc.

Overall it was an extremely poor list this week and the reason all the gambling domains were going is because most of them were JUNK.

Now THAT's an appraisal! And very accurate. Remember people .. the reason 99% of names are dropping is because they are CRAP!

Appreciate the appraisal.

We have already made back quarter of our reg fees on a sale of one of the casino ones. Like I said, we are not going to get rich, but they will more than pay for themselves.

We have another end user on line for one other of our wednesday pickups, with us doing the website as well. That's what we are really looking for. That one alone will pay for the sites picked up numerous times over. With the website development and the monthly maintenance and hosting - we will make out just fine.

Again, I appreciate the time, but please remember, not everyone aims to resell to other domainers, or park just for ads.

Reading my last reply it sounds like I am mad. I'm not, I really do appreciate people taking the time to impart their opinion and knowledge.

While our business model is not like many here, that doesn't mean we don't want to learn about the nuances of domain names. Knowing the actual worth across a broader spectrum of a domain name, helps us in numerous ways, not least of which is maximizing our profit on any domain name going through our hands.

Regardless of that, just having a discussion here about .ca's is good. We believe in the future of the online world in Canada. Canada's economy has been rocking along for years. Canada is the the only G8 nation with a surplus. Canada is very wired and educated - we have lots of attributes that lend themselves to paying attention to the worth of these little chunks of real estate.
