The new weekly domain sales report is out at DNJournal.com. With the news already all over the web, no surprise that the highest sale revealed this week was that of Fund.com, a name that changed hands for just under $10 million in the highest domain sale ever reported (Sex.com is believed to have gone for more but the exact price was never released). A spokersperson for the purchasing company said the deal closed in January when the company reported it in an SEC filing. The public announcement of the sale did not come until yesterday. There were also four six-figure sales this week and 45 that reached at least five figures, making this a fabulous week for domains, especially considering that the general economy seems to be mired in a recession. You can get all of the details here: http://www.dnjournal.com/domainsales.htm

Wow, too bad got into the game so late. What a winner of a sale. It seems like the skies the limit.

May be domaining is not subject to the recession in the U.S?, since it is a global industry.

For the top 1% of names...no recession at all.

I have noticed a slight drop off in the last month or so otherwise though....Usually after April 15th, things pick right back up.
