A follow-up to the previous thread about the deluge of email inquires for .biz/.us/.info domains from Kevin at creativemedia.com

Out of curiosity, I replied with an asking price, and received a counter offer to my original asking price. They offered me $100.00 for teach.biz. Needless to say, I'm not even remotely interested in parting with my domain for that. It's worth infinitely more to me for building my own website on it.

At any rate, this should give you an idea of what they expect to pay for domains. Apparently, they're bargain hunting.

Regards,

Katherine

The last thread about this which I posted a short time ago was deleted by a Mod with no explanation given. 2 prior threads about him were abruptly closed by Mods so I am sure this will be also deleted.

i did the same thing, and recieved the same offer ($100) for one of mine - 10% of my asking price, but still not too bad if i decide to take it.

Are we appraising teach.biz? Just wondering why this is in appraisals.

anything ruin the dnforum or its affiliates' business is deleted, even though it's the fact.

so far i got one deleted which was the above reason..

I got $100 offer for PregnancyTest.us . Are all the domains they plan to buy worth $100 each ?

I received a $100 offer from them too for a dot-info... I must be moving up in the domain name world because I don't feel left out this time!!!

Not to be rude, but what's the purpose of dragging on a topic where points have clearly been made except to provoke and fight? To be honest, we don't need street fights around here to bring down the collective quality of this forum and to waste our moderators' time editing silly posts. The other 2 threads have not been deleted but kept for members' reference.

Personally, I very often forget to look at who's who but act upon their deeds when moderating; I might have actually offended some because of that. And unlike some moderators at another time and/or in another place, I don't like being two-faced: like projecting a nice guy image while orchestrating some backroom efforts.

By the way, who on earth would allow posts that ruin their forum or affiliates' business, fact or not??

Thread closed. Thanks.
