GainGames.com, just regged last week. A "decent" domain for $8 IMO.

I would appreciate any comment regarding this domain.

Hi Jonas, I just don't see how one would be using this domain. How would you gain games? Something like "playgames" or even "reviewgames" makes sense to me, as there are plenty of websites around that fill these functions on the web. Unless there is some sort of programme that allows people to collect points to claim towards games, I'm struggling to see the point of the domain (although you "handregistered" this domain for only $8 k.

Please let me know if I'm missing the point.

I agree that PlayGames.com would obviously be worth multiple times more than GainGames.com - Im not saying that I hit the jackpot last week:cheeky:
Still I mean this domain have possibilities. Gain Games in the meaning of obtaining (downloading) games. I see two obvious ideas: 1. A site containing free games (income via banner ads etc.), which are downable for the user. 2. A site containing demos of games and obviously the possibility of purchasing the game through GainGames.com (income via purchasing of games).

Makes more sense to you now?

Any comment/idea for develepment would be much appreciated.

EDIT: IMO it also "looks/sounds" good to me.

Yes Jonas, that makes sense. I guess I have a problem with the word "gain" in this context, as it often implies:

- To attain in competition or struggle
- To obtain through effort or merit
- To secure as profit or reward
