People need to be mindful not to mix them up. Easy to do, but it instantly confuses the issue.namedropper said:Copyright? No. Trademark? Yes.
Yeah, I get the impression people tend to sweep the difference under the rug... which only helps to make people more confused when someone comes after them. Registered copyright, registered state/federal/international trademark... the confusion multiplies exponentially. As long as discussions like this stay on the right foot, there's an opportunity to learn a little more (and not unlearn stuff... which always stinks).Steen said:Watching the news this evening, they were talking about how the "Olympic committee for 2010 are going after copyright infringement cases". Quite surprised the news would get this mixed up.
Hmmm, the news mix something up ... really, lol. Why are you surprised? :-DSteen said:Quite surprised the news would get this mixed up.
