I'm curious as to the value of my domain name, gamingnow.com. It has been registered since 1999, although it has never been run as a site so doesn't have a great deal of intrinsic traffic. I'm attempting to ascertain the value on name alone.
I believe 'gamingnow' is short, generic and could be used either for a computer gaming website or a gambling website (some people refer to gambling as gaming, right?). The 'now' is obviously the significant part (in terms of differentiating it from the competition) and it cannot be contested that it is a frequently used term in such a field as gaming. The 'now' indicates the present state of video gaming - or the desire to find out about gaming NOW. I'd like to hear anyone else's opinion.
As I'm sure anyone involved in this field is aware, ALL good domains with gaming are long taken, and you'd be astonished at the amount of ludicrous registrations (along the lines of gamingdegenerate.com - though not necessarily a case in point).
Comments would be very welcomed. I believe this name has very good development potential.
