Couldn't disagree more. I've already done about 5-figures in sales with less than 2 months hold time, and have several in negotiations which I fully expect to close. (Keep in mind, I work for a big name in the Crypto industry so I came with some knowledge on the best keywords to grab, however.. I wouldn't sleep on these). So, I guess it depends on what your benchmark for it being a "Winner" is. The fact that 'anything' can be an NFT, is exactly why we will see the keyword "NFT" being applied to countless businesses, applications, projects, platforms.. very similar to the keyword "Coin", or even "Bit" or "Block" Highly doubt you will ever see anyone referring to an NFT as a "Coin" or "Crypto" and "Token" is already a part of the abbreviation so it would be redundant to say "NFT Token". While it's technically a part of the same space, the distinction from the rest of the crypto world will be critical. The keyword NFT is already what the mainstream is adopting to define them, and exactly what will be needed & used to differentiate it's purpose and use case. Not to mention with regards to the SEO and having visibility on social-media, the groundwork is already being laid there. For instance: Articles about Beeple and his 69 million dollar sale are describing it as "NFT Art", but how many people do you really think know what Christie's is because of this news? Especially if you were to ask them a couple of months down the road. You'd have a much slower time marketing and scaling "Strike", than you would "MechaNFT", whether or not "Strike" sounds cooler. Additionally, NFT-Games are a great idea! (Definitely bring back your RPG). There are things like Axie-Infinity and Animoca Brands you can check out as a good reference for what's going on in that particular space. In this application, your game/project/business itself would not be an "NFT" in and that of itself, rather the items/collectibles/armor/weapons - whatever particular "things" within your game, would be NFTs. The space hasn't even gotten into the physical applications a lot yet as it is so new and focused heavily on art/gaming.. just wait until we actually see them being used for deeds to homes, titles to cars, and other cases of proof of ownership. "Bitcoin" is over 12 years old, and despite the amount of adoption + where the market is today, is still mistakenly as an umbrella term for Blockchain as a whole.
