Easily $500 ... and I have some unique knowledge regarding ownership of politcian's names. Best to get something up at the site as soon as possible, parody site/freedom of speech/non-commercial, etc. Very difficult to lose it in an UDRP after that.
The supporters, fans you mentioned should come calling ... go for $1,000 or more initially. This is chump change for a P.A.C. or big corporate supporter looking to cash-in on a favour.

That was a great drop name Duke! You must subscribe to a much better drop list than the one I get which was recommended a lot on dnf by others who said the owner was also a member, but unfortunately seems to be 99.8% worthless, and one I am cancelling at months end. All it does is clog my inbox all day with crap names.

In almost 2-mos and thousands of individual emails I have seen 3 drops worthwhile, the 2 letter ac.org which was impossible to reg. as the registrars all claim 2 char names can not be reg'd (but that seems incorrect, right?), another was a real good name which I tried to reg in 2 min but someone else must have got the same email from the same service earlier as it was reg'd 10 min before, and 1 name I reg'd (which is of little if any value after putting up a small site & counter and seeing almost zero traffic.

Perhaps one day I will find a good drop service like the unknown one you are using Duke! Wish I knew which one you use.

Wrong! - 2-letter/character .org names can no longer be registered - the feeling is that the same is soon to happen to .com and .net (notice that you can't get a snap on any 2-letter/character name).
