First stats, then explanation:

Google Results: 4'200'000
Overture (May): 41'669 for "gerd"
Overture Max Bid: $1.03
Overture Bid Count: 23

Explanation:
GERD is the common abbrevation of the "Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease", a disease which, according to GERD.com which is run by the "AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals LP", about 2% of the American adult population suffers from.

The .com extension is the only extension which is developed and IMO the .org would be the next best extension for a project or a resource site about the disease as .org is used for many medical information sites.

Now I'm looking forward seeing your appraisals and while you type them, please consider that the medical and pharmaceutical market is HUGE :)
Also please give appraisals for an enduser and not a reseller price.

Thanks!!

Sounds like the medical name for "heart burn"?

Heart burn is one of the symptons, but it does not necessarily mean that a person suffers from GERD.

That's what Wikipedia says:

Occasional heartburn is common but does not necessarily mean one has GERD. Patients that have heartburn symptoms more than once a week are at risk of developing GERD

Ok thanks for the clarification. No wonder I didn't become a doctor LOL
Why don't you offer it to the .com holders?

I probably will in a bit, but wanted to ask for some appraisals first. I might also just create a small 10-page site around it and see how it goes...
