No. Most of them do not get any traffic. Some do, but figuring out which ones is the hard part.

Not necessarily, Darren. It just means that the name is being searched for on Overture and perhaps, other search engines as well. And depending on the numbers, and if your domain is listed on search engines, then your site would probably appear near the top of search results. So when someone searches for your word, you stand a good chance of drawing that visitor to your site by virtue of your good search engine position.

If your search term includes the extension and shows good OVT numbers, that might be a good name to register because you would probably be getting some type-ins as well.

OV domains mainly benefit the end-user.

Once the site is fully developed considering SEO, thats when the OV will be converted to real hits.

Overture numbers may or not have significance. They are just one tool, out of many tools, that should be considered.

Keep in mind that Overture results can be manipulated, just like Alexa results can, and thus when purchasing a domain one needs to proceed with a high level of caution when viewing these numbers.

Including ext?
