The latest figures show a substantial increase in domain transactions reported through Escrow.com, contrasting with a decline in publicly disclosed sales.

According to the report, Escrow.com recorded $31,435,513 in liquid-domain sales during Q3 2026, an increase of 92.18% from the previous quarter. Meanwhile, publicly disclosed sales declined by 13.78% to $6,737,443.

The report examines the performance of short, relatively standardized .com domain categories, including two-, three- and four-letter domains, numeric domains and letter-number combinations. It provides information about transaction volumes, reported prices, market turnover, development rates and estimated category valuations.

Escrow.com Sales Nearly Double to $31.44 Million

The most significant development in the latest report is the increase in Escrow.com transaction volume.

Sales reported through Escrow.com reached $31.44 million, compared with approximately $16.36 million in the previous quarter.

This represents an increase of 92.18%.

Publicly disclosed transactions moved in the opposite direction, declining to $6.74 million from approximately $7.81 million in Q2.

The two datasets cover different reporting channels. Escrow.com figures include transactions processed through its platform, while publicly disclosed sales are compiled from reported domain transactions.

Consequently, the figures should not be interpreted as a comprehensive measurement of the entire global domain aftermarket.

The difference between the two reporting channels is particularly visible in the performance of three-letter .com domains.

Three-Letter .com Domains Dominate Escrow.com Transactions

Three-letter .com domains were the largest category by Escrow.com transaction value during Q3 2026.

The category generated $21,817,676 in reported Escrow.com sales, representing approximately 69% of the total liquid-domain volume reported through the platform.

Compared with the previous quarter, Escrow.com sales volume for three-letter .com domains increased by 194.33%.

However, publicly disclosed transactions in the same category showed a different pattern.

GGRG recorded 10 publicly reported three-letter .com sales, with a combined value of $552,050. This represented an 81.3% decline in publicly reported transaction volume compared with the previous quarter.

Among the largest publicly disclosed three-letter .com transactions were:

KBF.com — $260,000
RYU.com — $76,000
ISY.com — $45,000
DGF.com — $45,000
KLO.com — $39,500

The report places the median publicly reported transaction price for three-letter .com domains at $31,750, down 33.51% from the previous quarter.

The category's fifth-percentile price indicator, used in the report as an estimate of the lower end of market pricing, declined 27.61% to $11,565.

The report identifies 17,576 possible three-letter .com domains, with approximately 19% classified as developed.

Four-Letter .com Domains Lead Publicly Disclosed Sales

While three-letter .com domains dominated Escrow.com transaction value, four-letter .com domains accounted for the largest share of publicly disclosed sales.

GGRG recorded $4,540,524 in publicly reported four-letter .com transactions during Q3 2026.

This represented approximately 67% of the quarter's publicly disclosed liquid-domain sales total.

The report lists 1,338 publicly disclosed four-letter .com transactions.

Among the largest reported sales were:

Stan.com — $750,000
Zano.com — $500,000
Evan.com — $400,000
Amos.com — $365,000
Folk.com — $250,000
GoAI.com — $215,000
Yono.com — $149,888
Leta.com — $135,615
Abit.com — $101,999
KMAU.com — $100,000

Public sales volume in this category increased by 22.88% from the previous quarter.

Escrow.com also recorded substantial activity involving four-letter .com domains, with transaction volume reaching $9,367,939, an increase of 43.6%.

The report lists the median publicly disclosed four-letter .com sale price at $252, a decline of 4.55% from the previous quarter.

The fifth-percentile price indicator remained unchanged at $99.

Across the preceding 12 months, the fifth-percentile value for four-letter .com domains declined by approximately 1%.

GGRG identifies 456,976 possible four-letter .com combinations, with 6.44% classified as developed.

Five-Number .com Domains Record Significant Declines in Floor Values

The latest report also examines numeric domain categories, including five-number .com domains.

GGRG recorded 327 publicly disclosed transactions involving five-number .com domains during Q3 2026, representing $343,744 in reported sales volume.

The category's median transaction price was $46, down 22.03% from the previous quarter.

Its fifth-percentile price indicator declined by 8.7% to $21.

Over the preceding 12 months, the report indicates that the fifth-percentile value of five-number .com domains declined by approximately 67%.

Among the publicly disclosed five-number .com transactions were:

50000.com — $51,408
49666.com — $33,500
36000.com — $30,458
88834.com — $20,088
77123.com — $18,500

The Q3 category data records no Escrow.com sales volume for five-number .com domains. This does not establish that no private transactions occurred; it means none were included in the report's Escrow.com dataset for the category.

GGRG identifies 100,000 possible five-number .com combinations, with 3.09% classified as developed.

Development Rates Differ Substantially Between Domain Categories

In addition to sales information, the Liquid Market Report tracks the percentage of domain names classified as developed.

The figures show considerable differences between categories.

For Q3 2026, the report lists the following development rates:

Two-letter .com domains — 28.99%
Three-letter .com domains — 19.00%
Four-letter .com domains — 6.44%
Five-number .com domains — 3.09%

According to the report's methodology, development status is assessed using proprietary systems developed by Intelium and its affiliates.

These figures provide an additional measure of how different categories are being used, separate from reported resale prices and transaction volumes.

The development classification does not necessarily identify the type, commercial activity or profitability of individual websites.

Domain Industry Stocks and Other Asset Classes

The Liquid Market Report also compares selected domain-market price indicators with the performance of publicly traded companies and other financial assets.

During Q3 2026, Verisign shares increased by 12.43%, while GoDaddy shares rose by 12.52%.

Both companies outperformed the broader equity indices included in the report for the quarter.

The S&P 500 recorded a quarterly gain of 2.03%, while the Nasdaq advanced 2.47%.

Over the preceding 12 months, however, their performances differed.

The report lists Verisign's 12-month share-price change at positive 2.02%, while GoDaddy declined by 30.2%.

The S&P 500 gained 14.4% over the same 12-month period.

Among the other financial instruments examined, Grayscale Bitcoin Trust recorded a quarterly increase of 41.89%, although its performance over the preceding 12 months remained negative at 28.05%.

These comparisons provide broader financial-market context for the liquid-domain data.

The report cautions that performance figures for securities, exchange-traded products and financial indices should not be treated as direct investment comparisons with individual domain names.

Understanding the Report's Methodology

The Liquid Market Report focuses on specific categories of .com domains rather than the entire domain-name aftermarket.

Its coverage includes two-, three- and four-letter domains; two-, three-, four- and five-number domains; and selected short letter-number combinations.

These categories are examined using reported transaction data, inventory information, development analysis and statistical valuation indicators.

Public domain sales information is provided by ShortNames.com, while the Escrow.com sales dataset is supplied separately.

Some category analysis and valuation information comes from proprietary systems developed by Intelium and its affiliates.

One of the report's recurring indicators is the fifth-percentile price, which GGRG uses as a representation of a reasonable price floor for a domain category.

This is a statistical indicator derived from reported transactions, not a guaranteed minimum selling price or a standing purchase offer.

Similarly, the report's estimated market capitalization figures are based on aggregated EstiBot valuations rather than the proceeds of actual domain sales.

The underlying data may be revised or corrected by the respective providers.
