PS.: i wouldnt take this site if you paid me with all the bad rep it has.
I would.

BTW, is it really necessary for everybody add their two cents about gmail? I think he's already been brought to the attention of the mods & admins, so it doesn't seem to be necessary for everybody else to add their profound comments such as
this is like that old classic inside joke....

I see nothing wrong with making sure frauds are dealt with. In the end we ALL pay for Frauds, think about that. Have you ever been scammed? if so, would you of liked to have been warned? It has happened to me and i wouldnt want it to happen to me again or anyone else...The more people see threads like this, the less chance scum can get away with bs.

Sometimes, the bad rep can all lead to massive publicity. Then, you can give it your all to overturn the bad rep and use the publicity to your advantage, to have a great result.

But in this case... GMail is going to be free sooner than later anyway. If anyone is brave enough, it might be the buy of the century.

You can work out the probability of that happening.

I have seen a couple of pending sales for this site already. Can you explain why both the times the deals were off? Oh, and I have seen this site for sale on at least 10 occasions on different sites. We all want to know how it is possible that you didn't get a buyer, when each time it looked imminent that you would find one? Please take no offense, these are legitimate questions.

Oh, and how's your job with Google going?

You posted support for Gmail in his last thread. What are your intentions here? Maybe you both are partners?? Please let us understand.

Well, why don't you? You are the only person here that defends this guy and his underground sale; I find it a bit strange... you also defended him in the other thread, as Classicnames said.

now now..let's not turn on each other...

I am sure Jonathan just thinks he is doing the right thing...just as many of us feel we are doing the right thing.

I think that Jonathan may just have something against me because it was me that he went after in the last thread and it was me that he quoted in this thread...

Oh well...

Hey guys..
I was Super Moderator on Gmail Invitation few months back. The site was hacked and all the moderators were banned. I dont know for some strange reason my account along with other moderator account was removed completely...
As for that time the site was really active and had lot of people posting on the same. But after the hack and a lot of misunderstanding with Gmail the owner of the forum I dont really know about the status of the site now.
It was like 4 months back.. Gmail was trusted guy then. He used to go with the name of logo that time and was helpful. I dont know what went wrong and how he ended up in this situation..

As of site stats are concerned I dont think He can provide u with the same. As the site is build on www.excoboard.com. He can do is put it the domain on sedo or Is there someother way how he can show stats of the site, i guess he would be willing to do the same.
Best of luck with your site Gmail..

wait, if the forum is hosted from a free forum site, doesnt that mean the new owner wont be able to get the source forum files? This could be a major problem for any potential owner...

The reason I've "defended" gmail is because I see so much trolling online. Not necessarily here, but people like to pick fights. And I did come to gmail's defense last time because I was pissed off when someone took it upon himself to contact a supposed buyer on eBay regarding a transaction they had supposedly gone through with gmail... without ever asking gmail about it.
Well, why don't you?
Well, why don't you buy it for me? In case you didn't read the entire statement, I was saying I'd take it in response to Matrix's comment, i wouldnt take this site if you paid me with all the bad rep it has.

I posted support for someone who was being trashed. I don't ever recommending the purchase to anyone.

To summarize... from what I've seen on DNForum, the mods and admins have been pretty capable of handling these situations. Yes, regular users should provide relevant information if useful. But I don't think it's necessary for everybody to jump on the bandwagon. With regards to the purchase, I'd hope none of you would purchase a website where statements are made but no proof is shown.
Is your phone +1.2345678790? Must be easy to remember... Oh, I really like your fax 1.5555555555
Oh, and with regards to this... I don't see this as good evidence of a "scam". There is no way in heck, I'm ever putting my real phone number in the whois information.

Oh, and it's not you, labrocca.. it's your avatar. ;-)
