At US$7.95 a shot *non*-refundable, that is going to make for pretty expensive domains.

Maybe they have a 2% chance of picking up a fairly highly contested name.

That means 50 x US$7.95 = $397.50 per successful catch, on average.

Am I right or am I right?

(or am I wrong?)

(Or will they soon realise that they aren't going to get very far with that model?)

hmmm...Well, the catch rate better be higher than 2% for the premium service, or what's the point. We'll see. I'm going to throw 5 names in the basket and see if I get one.

Keep us posted. thanks

Hmm... I thought they got the followings for $18.95/each;

dadda.com
economicreview.com
greatillusions.com
incomeideas.com
puregalleries.com
tattooink.com
wirelessshop.com

If I was wrong, I should stay away from them.

I got a name today after the 22nd failed attempt, it has a $31 bid in NW. But still I would say it's waste of my time!

I did get a domain that was Snapped and had a $188 bid at Name Winner. That is a first for me, to be sure! I just put the name in as I had an unused order with them. The other names that I have gotten have been ehh level names. That 'good' name was gotten on Sunday when there were a ton of drops and some big bids at Name Winner which may have helped the situation. Today they were back to normal with some $8.75 NM bids that I had beating the orders that I had with them (GD).

Best Wishes,

Jon

i have 2 "failed attempt" for 2 names today. so will GoDaddy try again?

they are still showing as "pendingdelete" on whois. but i am not sure if registered already.

whois update takes 12-24 h.

I purchased 5 Backorders today about an hour before drop, and GoDaddy got one. Decent name with 65 Overture TI's with the extension. Not bad for my first attempt.
