GoDaddy is introducing a new way to search for domain names — right inside AI conversations. Through a new integration with Anthropic’s Model Context Protocol (MCP), anyone using Claude can now check domain availability in real time, without leaving the chat.

Instantly turn ideas into domains​

The line between brainstorming and building is getting thinner. AI tools have become the starting point for entrepreneurs, developers, and creators alike — a digital whiteboard for new ideas. But until now, turning an idea into a real business identity required context-switching across multiple tools.

With GoDaddy’s domain search integration, users can ask natural questions like:

“Is greentech.io available?”

“What about the .com or .ai versions?”

“Find me affordable names for a sustainable coffee brand.”

Claude will respond instantly with live domain availability and pricing powered by GoDaddy’s trusted domain search API, the same technology that processes millions of checks every day. Then, Claude will provide a link for a streamlined purchasing process from GoDaddy.

This launch marks GoDaddy’s first external MCP integration, designed to bring our most popular API — domain search — to a new generation of AI-powered platforms.

The integration adheres to Anthropic’s MCP certification standards, including OAuth authentication, observability, and compliance requirements, making this integration both fast and reliable.
