godaddy GoDaddy discount codes

I have 16 .us domains, one needs to be renewed soon so I place in into the cart and it comes up at 19.99? Are you fking kidding me? WTF godaddy?
So I spend the next hour trying promo and discount codes and nothing works.
I would rather keep my domains at godaddy but I'm NOT paying godaddy $319.84 to renew these 16 domains this yr.
The other registrar I some times use is namecheap so I pop over and have a look at their registration and renew prices for .us domains.
What do I find? $6.99 to register, $7.99 to transfer and $7.99 to renew.
So, 16x7.99=$127.84 and 16x19.99=$319.84
If I move my 16 .us domains I can save 192.00 this yr.
Looks like the best godaddy promo code to renew your .us domains for 2012 will be namecheap.com - just type it in your browser address bar and hit the enter/return key.
ByBy godaddy, can't afford to stay with you any more with this stupid .us renew price level with no promo codes working.
I don't give a crap what you charge the public but if you do not allow any promo codes for .us domains then you are going to lose a ton of people like me who have hundreds of domains, and who "live" by the available promo/discount renew codes.
Think I'll try calling godaddy before I do the move to see what they have to say about this. If they are no help then I'll just move all 16 .us domains away to namecheap.
I have seen this before from godaddy with the .us domains but they came to their senses and got the price back down with renew codes to an acceptable level.
I don't ever intend to register any more .us domains. Most of these I got in the .us land rush and they have web sites so I need to keep them.
OK, just got off the phone with a godaddy rep and he gave me the usual expected lines OF B.S. and offered me 50% off at 10.00 per domain but only if I renewed all 16 at once. I asked him what he would do if he were in my shoes, pay godaddy 10.00 per .us domain to renew to transfer to namecheap at 7.99 per .us domain. He did not have an answer as expected.
WTF godaddy?
Nice thing is I can transfer one by one or all at once and still get them transfered and renewed for 7.99 each. I think I'll transfer a few that are coming up soon then wait and see if godaddy comes to their senses on this. :asleep:

PS, I have no affiliation with namecheap except as a customer. Looks like if I do the transfer all 16 I get 16 free whoisgards. Funny since you cant use those for a .us domain. I can use them on my other domains though hehe. Don't usually pay any registrar for whois protection, just reg the domain under a "john doe" alias with fake address info except the email address and of course it is in my account. works perfect, doubt I would do that on a high value domain but for the cheepies it's perfect. He who controls the email is actually the domain owner no matter what or who is listed in the whois records. Would not exactly want to go to court and say that but as long as you fly under the radar it works perfect.
