If a name is dropping at GoDaddy do they have an advantage at grabbing the name when it drops or would backordering it there be a waste of time?

I don't think it matters just like NameWinner having no special advantage on Dotster drops.

Anyway I just want to report the 7th failure of Godaddy backorder for me. But seems not many people use them, I can easily find a name dropping today available for backorder. Still have 300+ attempts ahead, I can wait! (what else can I do? :dead: )

Used to be that any Dotster drop would be grabbed by namewinner but I guess since the delete commands are sent at once from the registry instead of from the registrars no one has an advantage.... that we know of. :D

I've had my 4th failure for my Godaddy snap.

They are quick to let you know you lost though.

Yes, that's the big plus, I have plenty of time to prepare for next day's drop :D. I wonder why SnapNames cannot do the same.

Arrr... I have been notified the 10th failure of my Godaddy backorder! :dead:

They're too busy catching names. GoDaddy has plenty of time to send out failure notices because they never catch anything. :)

That's exactly what I'm thinking too. Godaddy will soon break the Expirefish record

I am trying them out and so far the catch number is a big fat 0... and the name was not even snapped just had a namewinner to it

I saw a post in DSF that a 3 letter com domain drop was caught by godaddy. I gess the service does work.

Even a blind squirrel finds an acorn once in awhile, but that single catch will undoubtedly bring them a new round of business. For now I would look at it as lightning striking, but if they can do that a few more times they will get people's attention for sure.

is there anywhere you can buy godaddy backorders with paypal?

See what I mean. :)

I have placed a Namewinner 8.75 bid up against my go daddy snap twice and beat GoDaddy both times.

So far 7 attempts at mediocre domains
and 7 failures ..................................

The 11th failure for me today, am I the unlucky few or what?

But both Snapnames and Dropwizard got me good names today :D.

I bought 15 No daddy:D backorders and have placed them on next day drops every night for 12 nights. I've had one catch, on May 8th aginst a $62NW and A Snapback. You do the math:laugh:

I only pay $14.08 for them so we'll see in a year
