I have an issue:

a name I want to renew (it`s a .com) was regged with free Privacy and now they want to charge me another $9 just for the privacy.....I don`t need it so what can I do to save $9 ?
Is my only solution to transfer the name to another Registrar? The name expire in 2 days.

Cheers

A possible solution could be to transfer it to another account at godaddy and after that back to yours. The transfer should cut the privacy setting.

Log on
Go to my account
Go to my renewals
Under payments and renewals oor one of the other options you should find privacy
Tick it and click on auto renew
Wait then
On the right you should be able to tick disable auto renew
Save

Thanks everybody, I worked out the same solution that Welkin suggested:

I pushed the name to my wife`s account, then I renewed it for $6.21 and then pushed the name back to my account.

Otherwise it was costing me $18.....

Thanks everyone :)
