Godtube.com gets $30 million funding!

Well i for one had never heard of Godtube (not being that way inclined ), but they just secured $30 million investment and have been charging up the alexa rankings, currently on approx 7k

With the right marketing you can get a lot of money from religious organizations (including churches, evangelists, even just believers).

$30M is high, but not overly suprising.

what i find surprising is it only launched august, they must have spent something on a launch, advertising, its not exactly a direct type-in lol

also weren't the investors worried about it being a direct rip-off of youtube? i know porntube etc use name too. i'm happy as have a lot of decent word tube coms

Not being funny but think they are treading a very fine line.
They are using same colours, gray, black and red, also they even say 'Broadcast God' instead of 'Broadcast Yourself' !

If i was youtube i would be unhappy

This is what bothers me about some "organized religions"...

They can justify spending $30 million on something like this when that money could actually be used to help people that are oppressed, sick, starving, etc...
